Corrections

UniProfile's reports are built from official public data. When we get something wrong in that data, or in how we handled it, we correct it openly — and we keep a dated, public record of every correction we make.

What we correct

A UniProfile rating is our editorial opinion, formed at a point in time from the official data available then. A correction is about the facts beneath that opinion — not the opinion itself.

We will correct a report where:

  • we reproduced an official figure incorrectly, or attached it to the wrong institution, year, or measure;
  • we mishandled accurate source data — for example, a calculation, threshold, or labelling error on our side;
  • an official source has itself issued a correction or restatement that materially changes what a report shows.

A disagreement with our assessment or verdict is not a correction — that is editorial opinion, addressed through the right of reply below. Errors in the underlying official data published by HESA, the OfS, UKVI or UCAS are corrected at source by those bodies; where one affects a report, we re-issue it once the source is updated.

How to request a correction

Anyone — a reader, an institution, or a member of the public — can ask us to look at something. The more precisely you can point to it, the faster we can check it against the source.

Please include
  • the university and the report date (shown on every report);
  • the specific figure or statement you believe is wrong;
  • what you believe the correct position is, and the official source for it, if you have it.

What we do, and when

We review every request in good faith and check it against the official source. We aim to acknowledge within 1 business day and to resolve straightforward cases within 5 business days; where we need to wait on an external source, we will tell you.

Where we confirm an error, we correct the report, re-issue it to anyone who bought it, and record the correction here — dated, with what changed. If a correction would have changed a report you purchased, we will email you the updated version at no charge. Where a confirmed error cannot be corrected promptly, you may be entitled to a refund under our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

Institutions & right of reply

Any institution that believes a report contains a factual inaccuracy may write to corrections@uniprofile.co.uk, and we will review it on the same basis as any other request. This corrections process sits alongside the right of reply set out in our Terms of Use & Disclaimer. It does not extend to our editorial assessment, which remains our own independent opinion on the evidence shown.

Corrections log

0 corrections issued · since launch

No corrections have been issued yet.

When we issue a correction to a published report, it will appear here — dated, with the university, what was wrong, and what we changed. This log is permanent: corrected entries are annotated, never deleted.

Each report carries its own publication date and source list. A correction here applies to reports issued on or before the correction date for the named institution.
